Community Chest

Queen’s Park has been awarded £17000 to be spent on community projects over the next 4 years. The government grant comes via the Community Development Foundation.

A key requirement of the scheme is that local people control how the money is spent by setting  priorities for Queen’s Park and deciding which projects should be funded.

The panel recently produced a Community First Plan. Which can be downloaded here.

The funding priorities are as follows:

• Supporting vulnerable people
• Supporting children and young people
• Having a voice
• Bringing the Community Together/ Community Spirit
• Improving the local Environment

You will receive an application form and guidance notes which set out the eligibility criteria and help to fill in the application.
